Public Workshop #2
The second virtual public workshop focused on gathering ideas for strategies that Lake Ontario and St. Lawrence shoreline communities in Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties could implement to adapt to fluctuation water levels within Lake Ontario and along the St. Lawrence River to promote overall resiliency in the region. The September 21st workshop gave the community an additional opportunity to engage with and learn more about the NYS Department of State CLEAR initiative. The outcome of this initiative will be a CLEAR Plan to guide the development of more resilient communities through specific strategies and projects that can protect property, natural areas and systems, and infrastructure.

Public Workshop #1
The first virtual public workshop focused on ways Lake Ontario and St. Lawrence shoreline communities in Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties can adapt to fluctuating water levels in Lake Ontario. The June 30th workshop gave the community an opportunity to learn about and engage with the NYS Department of State on its Coastal Lakeshore Economy and Resiliency (CLEAR) initiative. The outcome of the CLEAR initiative will be community resiliency strategies and long-term plans to protect property, natural areas, and infrastructure.
